Mannheim is a city located in the south-west of Germany. On bad days, you open your window and it smells of chemistry, which is not surprising when you live next to the world's largest chemical company. These are toxic mornings. On better days, you open your window and it smells of chocolate, which is not surprising when you live in a city with a chocolate factory. These are bittersweet mornings. On good days, you take a walk along the river and a rose-ringed parakeet – Halsbandsittich – flies over your head.
I imagine his name is Louis. He is one among many special birds in a city called Mannheim. These are sweet mornings.
